Elin Björling received her Master's Degree in Health Psychology from Antioch University. At the University of Washington she worked on several research projects investigating the relationship between stress and chronic illness.
She is near the completion of her doctoral work in stress psychophysiology at the University of Washington in the department of Nursing Science.
She is a former fellow for the Center for Women's Health Research and is currently investigating stress in pre-teens and adolescents.
As a health educator, Ms. Bjorling has worked for Virginia Mason and Swedish Medical Centers.
In addition, she has developed and offered stress intervention and mind-body classes to the Seattle community since 1998.
In January of 2003, she founded Whole Health Educators. |
Barbara Kollar, B.S., C.H.E.S

| Barbara Kollar attained her Bachelor's Degree
in Community Health Education (Western Washington University, Bellingham); and is a Certified Health Education Specialist.
She has worked in the field of health education since 1995, working at Virginia Mason Medical Center and now
Swedish Medical Center. Ms. Kollar also works on a chronic pain research project through the University of Washington.
Her areas of expertise include grant project management, worksite wellness program development and evaluation,
patient advocacy, development of self-care guidelines and development of an educational center for cancer patients and their families.
Ms. Kollar is also a health promotion educator and focuses on health screenings and self-exam education. |

Rachelle McCarty, N.D.

Rachelle McCarty obtained her doctorate of naturopathic medicine
from Bastyr University in Seattle, after graduating with honors from the University of Puget Sound with a bachelor's degree
in psychology. She currently works in research at the University of Washington and at Swedish Medical Center to promote
the understanding and advocacy of physical, emotional, and mental health. Dr. McCarty is a regular guest lecturer
on natural health topics at Swedish Medical Center and at the University of Puget Sound since 1997.
In 2002, she served as a co-coordinator of the community event Whole Health Beginnings. |
